Chapter 7-He Will Never Forget

"I gotta be more cautious now,i m in tenth standard now , already i have wasted my parents money and also a year in ma academics,so lemme do well this time " this was john's mentation forever,"i m an amateur in studies,lemme do something to bring out ma potential",he decides to approached his friend Miller and Laura:Both Laura and Miller is no more new to him,so they ll definitely help me ,hoping the same he approach them:As he desired they assisted him in all the ways they could.Slowly John started acquiring confidence,moreover he developed a great attraction towards Science the main reason behind is he had a great respect towards Mrs.Patricia who handled the subject,Also he found the subject interesting and simple too.the first term exam begun John was verymuch confident in fetching good marks ..the results came , for his anticipation he passed in all subjects except maths...But john never worried about that Bcoz he didnt put in any effort in maths,so he was aware that he'll flunk that ;but he had faith in him tat he ll pass the next time.John studied his everyday lessons then and there havin no back logs in his works .He never let any one answer in the class,before anyone could start he would have answered the question that has been posted.Almost for each and every dusk u can find John either in Laura's or Miller's place.Both of their family members too encouraged them in helping John. John felt that he was really blessed to have such a wonderful friends.It was the mid of september,almost 80% of the syllabus is over , john's mental attidude changed ,he started viewing things in a new dimention,his desire changed, he started aiming high,now his aim was not jus passing and to jus simply get some "n" rank,he wants to be the first, he desired to get high marks,high tat he should be the topper!! But will it be possible???

Everythin is possible if u strive hard to attain it...if this is true ! why not John can ???? John had another friend by name "Lucas"..he is a boarder joined this institution only a few months ago ,but he became very good friend of every one,usually Boarders ll stick people so easily since they dont have any other entertainment or company other than chatting with anyone they see in the school.He actually loved a girl named"Elina" she is not from John's class but she was in 'B' section.He never listen in the class and no one has ever seen him quitely or sincerly listening him in the class, he bypasses his class by sleepin in the class hours or during breaks .John was the one sitting next to him in the class,but slowly john started moving away from him,since he actually tried John fall in love with "Anna" one of the close friend of Laura and moreover Lucas know that Jones loved Elina..But John was very clear in his decision.Lucas tried all possible way to deviate Johns from his studies but ultimately he couldnt succeed. soon after a few months he fought with his hostel Warden and was terminated from the school for striking the hostel warden.

John was appreciated for his hardwork,except his maths teacher "Mrs.Jane" she always worried a lot about John.... her favourite dialog "u buffaloes, y the hell u idoits come and sit in 10th standard without knowing what is maths making us die teaching u maths" often she shoot up this dialog to John."But wat can i do ?? is there any guide like Renin martin to learn maths"????? John ever asked this question ..!!!" ohfff i guess for working out maths one must have something called brain" Some times john contradict himself,saying things like this. Like a wave which eagerly travels towards the shore promptly, The halfyearly exams were approaching him closely ..johns visit to the Laura's hoz rapidly increased..as he wished he acquired first mark in three subjects but this time too he miserably failed in maths...this increased everyones temper,everyone in the sense his teachers,his friends.his parents..but John was very much sure he ll pass in the final exam...whenever Johns maths teacher gets any free time she called up john and made him work out few of the easier problems that would help him to pass in the eximination.Meanwhile, john was badgered by few of his fello mates not to trust upon laura for she is not a very gud girl to trust upon.But John understood it was all because of pure envy on Laurs fame they say such things,but john never let things out to laura as he thought if he say what happened,it ll ultimately harm the good friendship between laura and those friends,moreover he did'nt want to ruin the harmony of the class .Everyone was given the hall ticked except few guys which included john,But why me??? outcried John.it was because of his maths teacher Mrs.Jane who barred the issue of hall ticked to john and many other among which moore s to be mentioned...it was the day before finals of ICC World cup 2003 almost she tried all sort of stuffs to make them pass, she even asked john and moore to copy the one words from someone in the exam so that they clear the paper ,"as if she is going to appear for exam ,she was so much worried that i could see the fear in mrs.Jane's eyes "..said john to moore. she was bit superstitious,that while concluding the final special class for them, said in the next days world cup finals between INDIA & AUSTRALIA ""if australia wins the world cup definitely ""we would get centum result...is tat a curse or a bless??? wondered John!!! the net day every one was unfeignedly preparing for public exams, even the top rankers , but John was seroiusly watching world cup finals Match to conform whether he ll pass in maths or not,since centum reflects john passin in maths,the match was goin serious,almost everyone prayed India should win the match was a dream game for india becoz nearly after two decades India qualifies for finals so it should win for sure ,but john exclusively prayed that australia should win the match,"yeah i know i m too selfish but centum means i m praying for others too" john uttered & contradicted to himself !!!the match almost attained its final tantrum...tension was flowing out of everyones eyes in the stadium...even john's too...his heart started pounding..

Will india loose ? if then will JOhn pass ????

CHAPTER 6-THEY MUST KNOW

As the charismatic black sky Meander its prtoective blanket to shower a enigmatic blue to announce the outset of a new Dawn..Jonh tardily opened his eyes with an aesthetic view...and susurrating to himself " Its our Nation's independence day today,we don't have school,and what do we do today...???"...before he could finish off what he was thinking ,he heard a loud noise behind his bedroom wall ..wats this noise????? it was John's parents shouting at the top of heir voice ,quarrelling early in the morning, even before the sun is shone...."John palpated the issue and said,Ohfff, i am gonna have a hectic day man "John reciting the same ,John thought...."""whenever there is a holiday ,almost all the children would love to be at home or go out along with their parents or with their friends,But me?????????????"""..But john was different..since he has faced almost all kind of turmoil at this tender age, he didnt trust any of the people he knew Noteven his parents for that matter .. He enjoyed his days all alone..But John always had a suspicion that what might be the reason behind their parents unhappy life,and why is thier Marriage life so unsuccessful..Is that because of deficit Money??? or lack of proper understanding???? is that because of "me"...?? or something that is beyond the scope of my age or understanding???????? all these questions was perpetually banging John's head.. Since john is the only child he didnt had any one to share either his happy or his lamentable times ...hence whenever John stood up with a vacant or pensive mood, John would just sit alone and start painting watever that flashes upon his mind...Often Sandra failed to understand john craving for the pat of affection..she was so grievous that half of the time she didnt cook at all ... she didnt take care of John...very often this happened,since John is too young he couldnt bear Neither the agony of his heart Nor the hunger of his stomach.His dad was bit concerned about John but then he was afraid of sandra that she might create some other problem if Mr.Wilson could take John along with him for lunch or something like that. JOhn felt that his dad was correct in one way and his mom on other way...he also thought that understanding and Holding up each other in all the walks of life is a properway to lead a peaceful family..." poor mom & dad, u dont know this fact i guess "whispered John.

That evening John thought of visiting Millers hoz,hence he started in his Cycle towards millers house which was just a few miles North from John's house. As the afternoon faded fast into evening, the sun slowly sank in the horizon. The sky was clear, belying the fact that the day before, was storm- tossed and angry. Now, all was forgiven, and the bay sank into a restful peace that spoke to John's heart.John enjoyed taking a long ride in the evenings..After a gratifying pedaling John reached Millers house.John stepped in Millers house ,raised his hands to Knock the door"dock!! dock!!" a middle aged women opened the door ,giving a warm welcome with a happy smile..it was Jessica ,Millers mother. John eyes eagerly browsed through all the rooms in millers home lookin for miller,but he caught no sign of him."How r u doin john???, how is your studies going on??" asked Mrs.Jessica Parker."oh yah i m fine and ma studies goin real gud,well mrs,Parker, where is miller???" oh "you have come to see miller and not me huh??? "mrs.parker was actually chaffing ,even john knows that "no no noo not like that mrs.parker,i jus thought of spending the evening with Miller tats........"soon interrupted Mrs.Parker"i was just kidding son,actually miller has gone some where out with his dad,i hope they ll be back in a couple of hours"...soon after sometime John Left Millers house and started peddling to an unknown destination,where he saw a happy brother and sister playin Badminton in the corridor of a Flat that was a kilometer away from Millers house. Something flashed John,he backed again and took a Brighter look @ those kids again..ohhh!!! It was none other than Laura and her Brother Mark..in his delight John stepped down from his bicycle and walked towards Laura..Laura was Glad seeing John she walked towards him along with her brother .To John's Surprise, Laura Expelled john from her apartment,But John understood that it was Because,she was afraid of inviting a guy to her house,moreover John was new to her and to her family.Without making any hesitation John immediately left her apartments ,while leaving he saw Laura's mom standing in the verandah watching the whole scene.

Left behind alone,John wavered to get back home ...For the first time in his life, he decided to visit the nearby beach,he slowly wheeled towards chaumont bay.After reaching the destination he gently parked his cycle near a lamp post & he took a effortless walk to the shore while walking he noticed many things among which, stood a small house, encircled by a white picket fence, happily basking in the twilight. Along the front of the house, ran a long porch, covered in screen, creating a shelter from insects and bugs. Inside, he could see a porch swing, rocking gently in the breeze. The house was painted a soft yellow, "just like the color of the sun when it rises from the night," John noted. In front of the porch, lay a thick bed of white and yellow flowers. To his delight, he noticed they were tulips. If he stood in the breeze just right, John could smell their fragrance right away.The scene spread before John,as if on display just for him. John struggled to swallow the tears he felt inside."If I could experience, for just one day, a rest as peaceful and quiet as this, I would be content to die tomorrow." He spoke this under her breath, sincerely meaning every word. "I wonder who lives there," he thought, wishing for a look at the inside of such a happy home. John stood there, lost in his imagination.That night as John entered his house he was thwarted by his parents, ther still continued their unidentified quarrel.Without having anything for the night he went to his couch.John's eyes cautiously peeked over his knees. The room had transformed into a beautiful hue of silver.John seeing the moon light felt Relieved .John slowly moved the heavy bed across the floor, scooting it flat up against the south window where the moon's light was the brightest. Now he could sleep in it's light Dreaming all throug the night.For John, light meant happiness.

Chapter 5-Ecstatic Morning

Another fresh Dawn marked john's window.The sweet sound of the birds made him awake. John Got up from his bed,and started singing along with a happy tone.John got ready for the school and started happily in his cycle that his dad gifted him the previous year on his 15th Birthday . Even though he started early he rushed to the school....the reason is that, he has to complete his maths home work, he never worked out any of the problems at home on his own.,either he use to copy it from Jones or Miller or from Laura..Though John was Elder to his classmates he looked very young that Laura always made fun of him,Laura has the habit of coming to class early,wait for Jonh to come and as soon as he enters the class,.she ll annoy him by Running towards him shouting "hey ma sweetheart has come".... "How are you,,darling ???? and she ll also terminate all the fellows surrounding John ..even though Jonh knew it was all jus for fun, he felt irritated , sometime he even felt that Laura is partially retarded, many a times John felt like running away from that class not because of teachers or his friends but because of Laura,he was actually afraid of Laura that she is slowly becoming Mad:Literally mad, he even discussed these stuffs with Jones and Miller... But as days passed by John understood the real gud heart of Laura .Infact the later half of the story reaveals how Lauras silent motivation helped in Jonh's success.

It was the Mid of the academic year,one fine day barbara was teaching Grammar, she also handled "Merchant of Venice",one of the finest work of Shakespeare. Since it was 15th century English & moreover John was poor in Language he couldnt follow it easily as other did ..., But Barbara instead of helping him, she insulted and humiliated him..But this time John didnt keep quite,he tried all possible ways to understand the subject..he is no more a Dumb creature to keep his mouth shut ..he openly challenged barbara "Excuse mam enough,just gimme some time and tomorrow i ll explain the entire scene"he said that with full confidence and with no concern ...Although he challenged he was outta of any idea of wat he has to do and wats going on with him -"First time in my life i'm challenging, i must do something ,i ll do it"said to himself but his conscious said to him "u idoit starting from 6th standard u r saying this but till date u have not even turned/recollected back what u have said" ...that time Miller & Erric suggested him "Renin Martin" a guide for English grammar...he borrowed one from the school library, the school librarian is an irish lady, to borrow a single book u have to explain the entire history of the incident ,geography of the location blablabla...she s actually a funny person, she is respected just because she is a librarian,or else the students would have Raged her ,she has mirthful face that resembles a cat with a pair of legs and hands,and the most funniest part is that she wears a queer costume that students named her "Pussy cat" , she 's also very much aware of it and if u want to make her violent nothing is required just a "MEawuuu"sound ll do..and students who is not interested in sitting inside the library often made this "Meaw""meawu" noise increase her temper and - u know wat happens ???? "Get out u goose, never show up to library again for any reference or something like that ,if i see u again i ll Kick your Bumps u rascals ,Now get lost" haha this is her ducky dialog ...that night Jonh started few pages with that book "Wow!!! This book is amazing man , How did i miss this ???" Exclaimed John.He enjoyed reading it...,But in this Joy, John failed to remember that he had challenged a Freaking lady who is waiting to cut his vein the next dawn

Even though he forgot Barbara didnt ....as soon as she entered she came John's ,stood next to his desk eagerly waiting for him to get ashamed and asked him "comeon man explain me, i m anxiously waiting for your explanation" ...But john stood up with a blank mind giving a funny look making himself stupid..the whole class was silent, that everyone was able to listen to Mr.Carters Voice ,who was teaching in the next class...Eagerness sank in everyones eyes,excluding Barbara and John ..."comeon John hurry up ,only after your explanation i have to continue the the rest of the scenes" For everyones expectation Slowly John opened his lips, sayin those words"sorry mam i didnt prepare" Shit this is'nt wat every one expected ,there comes the opportunity for Barbara to avenge John , he was standing in with a eager face ,like a "criminal who would gaze at the Judge for his final verdict"..likewise John was sentenced for imposition .."haha john needs this punishment"few students commented ,"Shit, u r a useless U damn rubbish u bloody as..non dssh ssshh..........." John scolded himself with all filthy words that john knows....Jones is alway a funny guy ,he too joined the group ...But John didnt let his frustration out...he silently practised his language...he started workin hard,hard in all aspects .

Few weeks later Laura found to be absent for the school,soon few students came rushing towards the class room sayin that Laura's Father passed away!! Mrs.Patricia was in the class then. She immediately called up John & Peter and asked them to follow her. She stepped down the stairs and took a straight walk to the staff room which was parallel to the Building where John's class room is located.Peter is a very good football player,also he was in the school football team, he seemed to be very mature than other in the class and hence Mrs.Patricia made him the class Leader.As John and peter made their way to the staff room Mrs.Particia Gave some money to buy a Garland, she also got permission from the principal for the students to attend the funeral, as soon John and peter entered the class ,the entire class left for the funeral. For the first time in John's life he visited a friends Hoz for a Funeral.Laura was wearing a Black chuddar When john faced Laura she was visibly shaken.Beads of tears ran down in rivulets on her face."Linda" one of the close friend of Laura was tryin to calm down laura , Laura huddled over Linda's shoulder, crying!!! "God be with the Gal ,For now i can only pray and i m now helpless"silently John prayed.Few days later Laura came to school as usual, with a sweet smile John and Joneswas the first one to c her entering the school ,to all of their surprise.She was cool and composed ,she didnt exhibit her sadness,her friends too were casual,eventhough they felt sympathetic they didnt expose it and Laura too didnt like people feeling so.

This time John understood the maturity Hidden in Laura.He almost understood her,but not completely .As days passed Laura and John became gud friends..she helped him a lot in his studies..

Chapter 4-Vanishing Dolor

Another year passed by even John's classmates but John still in the same class it was june 9th 2001 ,8.15am John entered into the same 9th grade once again with all his old memories flashing in his inward eye...John recollected that it has been exactly one year sine John joined this institution,But what have i achieved in my life????But i must definitely make my parents proud,i must no more trouble them in any way,i 'll prove all my friends and my teachers that even i can succeed in my life, with all these thoughts running in his mind John walked into his class....... ""What the hellllll..........."" john heard this sudden burst of words filled with a galling smile, it was Mrs Barbara,his english teacher,she was known for her Carping wit.....John felt very ashamed to sit along with the Juniors and go on with everyday Schooling...But most unexpected things started happening in John life..His Junors were really Gem of persons., except few...they never treated John as an outsider, they treated him as one among themselve..this made John feel better and better day by day...the most important person in Johns life is Mrs.Patricia..His class teacher,Unlike other teachers Patricia didnt believe in corporalpunishment for the students to perform Better ..She believed that only soft words and Clear Guidance alone lead people to reach success...according to her "Faith Prayer and Effort alone gives Success"....on the contrary Johns personal life was becoming much worser than his past..John Parents believed that only sending him for tuition will fetch him great knowledge.,In their ignorance they sent John for tution from 2nd standard itself..John almost spend only 1/4th of his time in his House ,literally for sleeping alone he was Bought home everyday,morning 5-7.30am Tuition again from 8-3.30pm school once again 5pm -8pm tuition after that Homework ,assigmnment etc all these were Johns everyday Schedule,John was keen in changing this first,he became almost mad sitting and holding book jus because the tuition Teacher asked him to do,the The Goosey part of Johns schooling is he had seen nearly 37 tutions in that 8 years(2nd to 9th Std) of schooling...

John somehow convinenced his parents to study on his own without any tuition..Well its Now Johns headache whether to study or Not...John had many friends Jonathan Swift and Erric Andrews but john met these two fellows only in break times as they are in 10th Std,but remember?? John still in 9th ...here also john picked a hand full of gud friends few of them r Jones,Brown,Miller,Anderson and the most important one Laura...each of them had a special character..Jones was Gud in Athletics,Miller was Good in studies and a big rooter of Footbal and a Buff of Cartoons especially ""Goku"" a famous "Dragon ball z" character...Anderson is a Genius in chess..he won many state level chess competitions.Brown suppose to be the youngest boy in the class,he s a sweet and captivating bubbbly fellow... And "Laura" she a Dream girl for many students..fortunately of unfortunately she was in love with "Moore"..Moore is a Great athlete and a very gud cricketer who stood as the Dream Guy for many girls who liked to Date with...coming back to "Laura" she is the mischief maker in the class...even though she doeshella lot of mischief many of them liked it including the teachers ..

John dont speake to any girls,he is a very timid person..it is not only he is timid,But also he lacks confidence to speak out with other gender..moreover he not sound enough in language too...Even John joined the school Athletics,Not only for Physical fitness But it ll add extra marks to his subjects...yaahhh those who are in athletics ll be given 25 marks extra all together ,.. this mark helped John to get through in maths and science...How ever his english teacher Mrs.Barbara didnt stop commenting on his marks...whatever john somehow managed to pass in all subjects this time..

Chapter 3-Solitary Tear

John was verymuch confident that, this new school & environment will definitely show him the right path which leads to success,even then his conscious was buzzing his mind that something is gonna be wrong, John had made his Mind that wat ever happens he must not loose his confidence.Since John did not have a Gud advisor in his life, he had to make his own decision in all walks of life that made him develop the attitude of avenging his childhood friends also his parents...but y parents???????.. John personal life was much worse , his parents Mr & mrs Wilson didnt run da family peacefully, Every new dawn has a new set of arguments between them, A hot indian sun that shone the white curtains of join to wake him up jus remained a dream all through his school life life.....John was now certain someone was talking to him. Slowly, he tore his eyes from the linoleum square he had been focusing on, and lifted his head cautiously to see who was speaking to him. His eyes looked directly into the face of a grinning, young man oh god that was none other than his maths teacher Mr.Carter, da funniest part is he was not actually talking to him but literally shouting @ him "John ,do u remember where are we,wat da hell r u thinking ?? Remember how much did u get in last first term exam?"

With a trembling legs and a jerk in tone and with a fake smile, said JOhn" yea yea yeah s s Mr.Carter, aa actually i i was thinkin about solvin this problem only sir,"

"Carter:oh is it so ??? Gud then, pls go near the Board and help me out to solve the problem Mr.Genius !!!!!!"

But in reality John don't even know wat da hell was goin around in maths class,da most tragic part is John don even know the chapter number that Carter s goin on with....John himself couldn't understand y is he like that.....Even God mignt have got confused ...John had Determination to do well,but he didnt put in any effort for that , more over his mind was filled wit pressures that he couldnt explain anything to anyone !!!!!

Proceeding to the board with a fear ,john recollected wat happened in the past !!!!!!! his determination failed this time too....if he coundnt solve the problem, all his class mates might laugh @ him !! but now its late to think about it!! Carter is known for his wrath ...he is short temper too...already John seen Carter beating his fellow mates for not answering properly..ha John moved along the class room stealthily,while carter was clearing few doubts for his friends ..John reached the board slowly rested the lower end of his palm to start his feather touch scribbling ,"crrriinngggggg....." with a monotonous tone the end of the hour for the day was announced..The tension and the fear in John's eyes was slowly departing meanwhile Mr.carter left teh room..ohhhfff John had challenging life everyday...days and months flew John was in school Volley Ball Team,one fine evenin Whiile John was playin for a Inter-school volleyball tournament ,accidentally he slipped off the Ground while his legs got struck in the net when he tried for a smash...Guess wat happened,John is very Skinny person that as soon as he landed on the Ground with his Right arm , he was punished with multiple fractures,which lead John to stay on a Bed rest for 3 months,its was Fortunate or unfortunate that John missed his Annual examination which lead to poor average and John was detained in class 9 ,This incident gave a new dimension to worsen the family senario, that Mr & Mrs Wilson..Fought like anything, Even though quarreling is not new ,this incident is a new theme to clash upon..Literally John seen them fighting ,hitting each other almost every dawn....

John's Grandpa and Mr.Wilson decided to ask for a second chance and ask his principal for a warning Promotion....But Mr.wilson was Humiliated by that principle..Feeling the Agony of his dad John endeavored to work hard and to make his parents feel proud.that too by the same principal who insulted his Dad. ..

From now on John's path of life Turned into a Garden of Roses.........
